Coarse Fishing Licenses All anglers of 12 years and over must have a Cardiff Harbour Authority Fishing Licence. Day (£6.60) and Annual Licences (£44.00) can be purchased from Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre (Tube) and Channel View Leisure Centre. Concessions are available. All anglers aged 12 years or over, fishing for salmon, trout, freshwater fish or eels in England (except the River Tweed), Wales or the Border Esk and its tributaries in Scotland must have an Environment Agency rod licence. Rod licences are available from Post Office outlets throughout England and Wales, online, by direct debit and over the telephone on 0844 800 5386. The phone line is open from 8.30am to 8.00pm daily from March to September and 8.30am to 6.00pm from October to February. Cardiff Harbour Authority licences can be purchased from selected local angling stores.
Annual Club Licences Annual club licences will be available for purchase from April. An annual club licence will allow club members to fish without holding an individual CHA licence. Anglers will be required to carry proof of their club membership. Prices start at £500 for clubs with less than 50 members up to a maximum of £2500 for clubs with more than 500 members.
