How to get there Directions to Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre To get to Cardiff Bay and CBWAC from the motorway, leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow the A4232 to the Bay exiting at the junction signposted Cardiff Bay Retail Park. Follow the directions on the map (thumbnail), via Ferry Road turning right onto Jim Driscoll Way and right again into the Water Activity Centre.
Directions to Cardiff Sailing Centre Our Sailing Centre is situated at the Environment Building on the northern end of Cardiff Bay Barrage. To get to Cardiff Bay from the motorway, leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow the A4232 to the Bay exiting at the junction signposted Cardiff Bay Retail Park. Follow the signs for Penarth, crossing the River Ely, and turning left at the traffic lights. At the first roundabout turn left, at the second roundabout go straight across and follow the road past Penarth Marina (be aware of traffic calming measures) until you get to the roundabout outside the Old Custom House Restaurant. Take the first exit off the roundabout and park in the car park close to the car park entrance. Depending on prevailing weather conditions, course participants may be collected by boat from the water bus stop adjacent to the car park, otherwise you will be asked to drive across the barrage to drop off directly at the Centre. Once allowed to cross the barrage, drive straight over the locks and along the barrage road until you reach the Environmental Building where there is ample parking. • Speed limit of 5mph over locks and sluice gates For those using Sat-Nav, the postcode for the barrage entrance is CF64 1TT.
