RYA Dinghy Instructor Pre-entry Assessment

Before you can attend a Dinghy Instructor course, you must first pass a pre-entry assessment.

RYA Dinghy Instructor

This five day course covers the RYA syllabus, instructional techniques and preparation of sessions (afloat and ashore), and is moderated on the final day by a second coach / assessor.

RYA Keelboat Instructor

This five day course covers the RYA syllabus, instructional techniques, and preparation of sessions (afloat and ashore), and is moderated on the final day by a second coach / assessor.

RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor

The Senior Instructor (SI) is an experienced instructor who has been trained and assessed as competent to manage courses within the RYA’s Sailing Scheme.

RYA Keelboat Instructor Endorsement

This two day endorsement is for instructors who completed their qualification in dinghies / multihulls, but want to teach in small keelboats.

RYA Advanced Instructor Endorsement

This two day course is for experienced, qualified RYA Dinghy Instructors, who want to enhance their qualifications.

RYA Powerboat Instructor: Skills Assessment

A one day compulsory assessment needed to undertake the Powerboat Instructor course.

RYA Powerboat Instructor

A three day course, assessed by an independent Trainer on the third day, which allows you to teach the RYA Powerboat Level 1 and 2 courses (plus RYA Safety Boat if you hold that qualification).
