This one day course is a practical introduction to powerboating and a great way for those with no experience to spend a day afloat learning the basics of boating.
It’s perfect for those who are not sure if they should do the full two day Level 2 course, or are too young to participate in the Level 2 course.
Please note that most students (over the age of 16) tend to go straight onto the RYA Level 2 course, as the Level 2 allows you to apply for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) on completion of the training.
During the course, you’ll learn various boating techniques, such as launching and recovery (8-11 year olds observe), preparation of boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, and leaving and coming alongside a pontoon.
